Sorry guys apparently my hosting company lost the database and they have no clue what happened and the restore backup is messed up as well.

But for a nominal fee of 150 dollars they can get me a version from last week, but it will take over 48 hours to implement.

I paid the fee so hopefully, they can restore my database otherwise this is the end of the site.

Oh well so goes life.

Nope.

It's something I did for the community and it has always been free. In fact if it wasn't for you guys it would be useless, so I appreciate everyone that has used it.

It has gotten me new jobs rather easily since I can prove that hey I can code a website from the ground up. I'm just sad that this might be the second time I lose a database and my work is gone.

Once they restore my database and everything works, I will look into getting a better hosting site. Godaddy just scammed me 150 bucks.

Yeah that is what currently placed a hole in my wall. They have it hostage and there is nothing I can do unless I pay.

I asked how could it happen since you can't delete the database unless you use their console. Their response was that there is no way for them to tell what happened. I'm calling bullshit since there are logs and what not, but I just need my site back. I'll take my database back it up and run somewhere else.

That's pretty shitty, man. Perhaps we could all contribute a little towards the cost since it's a community site that we've all benefited immensely from? I'll put up 10% ($15) towards the fee, you just need a few others to do likewise and we'll be back in business without you having to foot the entire bill.
