Much to my dismay, My save file seems to have vanished.
Is this a known bug? Is there a fix?

Same thing here. And it really is annoying. Hopefully this issue gets patched or resolved soon. I dont want to start all over again!

Hello for 2 Days i have bought Trials Evolution gold edition for the PC over Steam,now i have the problem that all my stats medaills and money are been auto reset and i dont know why can anyone help me please?

Same problem here...uplay got an update and boom, all my progress vanished...

I registered just to say the same. All my medals are gone.

This is not acceptable, not even for a beta. If we had been told since the very beginning that the progress would be wiped I wouldn't have spent so many hours playing this.

I really hope it gets solved. I will NOT want to start all over again.

And because the cloud didn't work at any point is everything now gone permanently ? Or did just update !"#¤ some paths up or something and now trials don't find/doesn't understand previous save files ?

Hope there is fix coming quickly, or any sort of solution from redlynx.

I've also lost all my progress so far through the game.

EDIT: Having gone and played through a couple of tracks again starting back at the very beginning of the game, all of my previous runs are saved and I see my ghost while I'm playing, so all of my unlocks and medals can't have gone far...

Just got a message from a friend saying all his saves where gone, so I booted up trials and same thing for me, everything is gone. 32 hours of gameplay lost.
This really needs to be fixed asap.

And I'm that friend. I'm not particularly keen on starting over, especially when there may be a risk that it resets again in the future.

this may not help you, but remember: this is a beta.
it happened to me to. and i guess during the beta it may happen again. so i decided to just wait until they release the final verison before starting all over again.

Same here. Launched it up in steam, uplay updated and my save is now gone. And I just managed to beat my first hard level with no faults I hope its fixed. Also, hi I am new to the forums

So I've been playing this for a while and had like 200 medals... Now uplay did an update and ALL my progress was gone! What the !"#¤?

Got this to once I logged in, Uplay updated, everything gone. I am glad I didn't dwell to deep, only did a few races and messed with the Editor.

I have the same problem, uplay patch and now just back to nothing.

I had a look and uplay patches have broken a few different game saves and people say how to fix it by going into certain folders.
BUT
Because i pre ordered on steam the save games are in a different place.

Steam users: (C:\Users\(username)\Documents\Ubisoft\Trials Evolution Gold Edition\SavedGames)
Uplay users (im guessing): (C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegames\)

I guess what has happened is uplay has updated and now what ever looks for the save game isn't looking in the right spot for steam users?
Unless people who pre-ordered on uplay have also lost there saves as well, then this whole post was pointless

EDIT - Go to : C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegames\xxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx

I found my old saves in the "262" folder. Move them into the "78" folder and It should be fine. And disable the Uplay Save Cloud in the UPlay settings.

I also have the Steam version so I'm not sure what the Steam directory's saved games are used for, but the Ubisoft directories worked just fine. Thanks!

My progress has been reset as well, but I noticed that my global rank has stayed the same. I replayed the first track and beat my old time just to see if the score would be affected, and it was, meaning some players could take advantage of this and end up with double points. Yikes. I'm sure the devs are all over it, but maybe they should take the servers down or something til it's fixed to prevent total leaderboard destruction. Unless...since it saves your old times maybe it doesn't give you double credit. Maybe it's no big deal, but worth checking into?

I have over 27,000,000 points after playing 1 minute. Sweeeeet.

edit-Obviously I didn't test it correctly. I replayed a track and didn't beat my old score, and I didn't get points, so I was all worked up over nothing.

I don't seem to have a '262' folder as everyone else seems to do.

My Save folders are as follows:

The odd thing is that the 'modified date' on all of the files is not as recent as I have most recently played (a few days older)

I have disabled the UPlay savegame synchronisation.

So... any thoughts from anyone

I have found that the savegames are actually kept in:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegames\xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx

There were four folders for myself - 40, 46, 78, 262
I copied the contents of 262 into 78 and disabled could saves.

Now working.

Is there any confirmation that are current stats will be wiped when the game hits release date? I don't want to be an ass, but I really don't want to do what I already did twice, in fact I probably wont.

I too lost my saves somehow. Yesterday evening the Uplay got updated and today I started the game and no more saves. Oddly enough, I still had my Donk unlocked and all other bikes were locked.
