I thought it was hard enough to be a light Level 4. I timed out several times before passing it. The length and lack of checkpoints are both major factors though, so when you DO finally pass it, fault counts are typically pretty low.

That's the correct time. Murdoc was indeed in the wrong spot. Thanks for pointing it out - it's fixed now. :-)

Skag wrote:
About Willyums FINALE at first I thought this a level 1 not extreme becuase it was harder than Murdoch's Exponents which is L1 ( Ithink )

Murdoc's Exponenets is Level 1, but it's really only Ninja because of the last two obstacles. Most of the track is easier (hence the name), but the 2nd-to-last obstacle is Level 1 Ninja and the last one is Level 2 imo. Hard enough to push the track from Extreme to Ninja Level 1 on average.

Skag wrote:
The RMX version must be harder than L2 as my first play through resulted in 416f and the second playthrough was much the same 406f (Lol). Compared to the first ninja I played to completion (Bounce) I got under 250 faults on the first run (and that was having to learn all the new techniques that I hadn't used before. I say FINALE RMX is L3 but I guess you guys been doing this for a lot longer and have much better judgement for this than I do!

Yea I don't know, I was on the fence between a hard Level 2 and a light Level 3 when I tested the track, but WILLYUMZ convinced me it was only Level 2. I'd be happy to add a poll if there are more people that disagree. Speak up!

Don't close this thread, Mal. Wait a few days after EVO is released. Then you will see. Personally I don`t think I´m coming back, because two Trialsgames takin too much time. I will concentrate on EVO. Perhaps there are many others who thinks the same. Perhaps there are some Trialsfreaks who want to play all those great tracks on TrialsHD first before they are taking a look at EVO. Maybe this thread will be closed too soon. But this is your thing, Mal! At last it is your decision to close this one, or open a new one for EVO. Or you will take your time on both threads. No matter what you are doing, you are the right man for a Ninjaleadeboard. Nobody will forget this point.
Ah, btw; please upload your sick runs in future too. All right?
Regards from Germany to all Ninjas and Masters and Shaolinriders and TrialsJackieChan`s and.......aahh, ok, ok. I'm just meaning this is a great thread with great riders and a great Malachyte. Peace.

I was only talking about closing the leaderboard to new track submissions, not new replays on existing tracks. I am indeed one of those "Trialsfreaks" who wants to finish some THD goals before I move on to Evo, and those goals include zeroing every Level 1 track and passing the three Level 5 tracks.

But I really doubt anyone will still build new Ninja tracks in THD once Evo is out given the power of the new editor. If people still want to play some old classic THD Ninjas and submit new replays I have nothing against that! :-)

OpposumBlase wrote:

I will not be doing one for Evo. As much as I love this thread, it's become like a second job for me... it just takes up too much of my time. With Track Central in Evo I'm positive that so many more Ninja tracks will be discovered, so it would be even more work. I mean, even in THD I'm sure there are tons of NInja tracks out there that no one has discovered just because of the terrible Friend-List Track-Sharing system.

If someone wants to PAY me to run a Ninja Leaderboard for Evo (enough so I could quit my regular job), then I'd happily do it, and put more work into it too - perhaps like trialshd.net - automating replay submissions, etc.

I will always do this! In Evo, after I get 100% of the in-game platinums, I plan to focus more on building tracks and playing customs from track creators I really admire, rather than trying to play EVERY Ninja track. But in any case, I will always keep uploading my replays. I didn't buy an HD PVR for nothing! :-P

I have 16 faults. But this has to be one of the hardest level 3 to 0 fault. Props to anyone who can do that.

^^

When Lowercase was first released I think it was probably THE hardest Level 3 in existence, but since then there have been many harder Level 3s made. Here are a few I think would be harder to 0-fault than Lowercase:

aBz zMaGiiK - Pojicide

CPR Hermit - Test Yourself 1, 2, or 3

DEADPH1SH - Krytikal

NV ii Alex - Unlucky 4

Spargokuroth - Leviathan

Storm uniQ - Martyrs

sugatin - Infe ( Inferno II Remake )

tateyosi - ... any of his Level 3s

TBNSoty - ...also any of his Level 3s

Urkizo23 - Dark Night

xMotionSickness - Donky Challenge

Murdoc Loch - RE: Bounce

So many people still look at Ninja tracks as if we still only had the 50-odd tracks we had a year ago. Level thresholds had to be adjusted to accommodate a growing community, new skills that were discovered, and just general improvement by everyone.

Yes, Lowercase was once an insanely hard Level 3... but at this point it's only a slightly-above-average Level 3 in my opinion. If I left it as the cutoff point for the hardest Level 3 we'd have like 50 Level 4s by now, probably 20+ Level 5s... all the way up to a few Level 7s or 8s. I feel like the right thing to do as this community grew was to just adjust the cutoff points for all the Levels, because even having 5 is a little over-the-top.

I've heard many people say that Reality Check would have been an Extreme track had it been released with the original game. But two DLC packs later, and everyone - players and developers alike - had improved so much that it felt more like a hard track.

This is just the nature of people collectively evolving within any skill set, whether video-game related or not. Any extreme sport is another good example. What you had to be able to do to be a professional DH mountain biker 5 years ago would only qualify you for expert (one step below pro) today. But of course they didn't add a new class above pro, they just adjusted the thresholds for the classes to accommodate an evolving sport in which riders were constantly improving. I believe the same is true for Trials and Ninja Tracks.

Aha. I`m waiting to see your runs on my Stangenseries. Damn, I did not zeroed my own ninjas so far. I should do this.

I didnt say Lowercase was the hardest level 3, just the hardest to 0 fault...I average about 20-25 faults per runthough. There are much harder level 3s like the ones you listed that would be realistically insane to zero.

Good luck with the last obstacle 420.
If you want to record your run then grab his newer version of Eclectic cos the older one has a replay glitch.

It should be in his share list.

Now that Evo will have custom leaderboards you'll no longer have this thread as a 2nd job. Although a list of Evo ninja tracks would always be welcome to keep us up to date. Anyway just want to say thanks Malachyte (The Ninja Killer) for keeping up with this thread for so long, much appreciated! This is by far my most viewed thread on the forums. Now you'll have time to crush the leaderboards on custom ninjas.
